Chat with award-winning performer and playwright, Dan Hoyle, as he creates a brand new theater piece about about the news — how it is reported, who disseminates it, and how it impacts our lives. First Person Arts, Philadelphia’s premiere storytelling organization, has commissioned Dan to create an original theater work based on interviews with journalists and news consumers. The resulting play will take audiences behind the scenes and explore how and by whom the news is reported, and how evolving practices and technology impact what we come to know.

Join Dan for a special meet and greet at The Pen and Pencil Club. He’ll talk about the project in general and then open it up to an informal discussion with Philly’s journalism community. Who knows? Your story could become a part of Dan’s finished play.
