Coming up at the P & P
Off the Record sessions begin at 7:30 p.m. unless noted
May 7: Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey
He was chief of police in Washington D.C. during the Sept. 11 terrorist attack on the Pentagon. He was there when Chandra Levy was murdered. And it was during his tenure that the crime rate in the nation's capital went down 40 percent.
Come and meet Charles Ramsey, Philadelphia's Police Commissioner, the man who will play a major role in Mayor Nutter's record on fighting crime.
Thursday, May 22: Wine Tasting
Club member Brad Wilson serves up his summer favorites. Wines for the deck, grill, picnic, beach and porch will be featured at the next Pen & Pencil Club wine tasting. We will be serving four wines that will liven up and enrich summer activities, wines that Brad serves his family and friends in the warmer months. Cost is $25 and includes appetizers. Call the club at 215-731-9909 to reserve a seat.
