REMINDER: WEDNESDAY for GOP DA candidate Beth Grossman!!

REMINDER: The club welcomes Beth Grossman, the Republican Party candidate for District Attorney, for an Off-the-Record session Wednesday at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Grossman, a native Philadelphian, was a an assistant district attorney for over 21 years in the Philadelphia DA’s office.

From her campaign website:

“Crime doesn’t care where you live or to which political party you belong; nor does Beth. What Beth cares about is restoring integrity and the public’s trust in the District Attorney’s Office and improving public safety and quality of life for all Philadelphians.  This includes ensuring that cases are prosecuted fairly, justly and ethically, victims and survivors of crime are treated with compassion, and sentences sought are fair and appropriate.  Under Beth, the District Attorney’s Office will uphold our laws while safeguarding the constitutional rights of all people.”

Grossman was unopposed in the May primary.

This is sure t0 be a well-attended event. Arrive early for a good seat and a good meal from our kitchen.

P&P to be closed for private party Friday 10:30 p.m. to 1 a.m.

Due to a private party, the P&P will be closed from 10:30 p.m. Friday to 1 a.m,

The upstairs bar, which usually opens at 2 a.m., will open at 1 a.m. Friday.

The downstairs will resume normal operations shortly after 1 a.m.

The club welcomes Larry Krasner, the Democratic Party candidate for District Attorney, for an Off-the-Record session WEDNESDAY at 8 p.m. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.

Krasner, born in St. Louis in 1961, has been a civil rights attorney in Philadelphia for 30 years.

From his campaign website:

“Larry stands up for immigration, disability and gay rights, as well as the right to free speech. He has defended, normally at no cost, protesters at RNC 2000 and DNC 2016, members of ACT UP, Black Lives Matter, Casino-Free Philadelphia, DACA Dreamers, Decarcerate PA, Earth Quaker Action Team, Heeding God’s Call, Kensington Welfare Rights Union, Occupy Philly and Reclaim Philadelphia, advocates of public school funding and opponents of the death penalty.”

Krasner defeated six other candidates to win the May primary.
